Team Ian partnered with Brave Gowns and customized Pediatric Hospital Gowns.  Of course we had to create a turtle shell design.  We donated these to WVU Medicine Children's Hospital Morgantown, WV

November 2023 -  Team Ian Charities had the privilege of gifting an item to a very special young man. To protect his identity we will not post pictures of him or state his name but I can tell you this special needs child (under 18) was faced unexpectedly in a situation several months ago without a parent to take care of him. I can't imagine his mindset or feelings when this happened. When we found about this young man, his situation and his biggest physical need, no doubt we worked quickly to help. Someone asked him what he wanted for Christmas - he said "new wheelchair". He was going around day to day in a broken wheelchair without brakes and other missing pieces. Being the situation this young man was in and in a transitional position, insurance would have been difficult to even work with and it would have taken many months and appeals to get him what he needed. (sad but true). The young man had a broken wheelchair and with cerebral palsey I can tell you without your wheels(feet) you can't go or do much. This young man however is amazingly able to move a wheelchair on his own with his arms even though they do hurt at times (again he has CP and non mobile with his legs). Sunday, Team Ian Charities was able to present this young man his brand new wheels (an updated and better version of what he had because he was used to the model). (picture of it is below). We added cushions and gave him replacement parts to make sure he had what he needed. We told him this wasn't a Christmas gift, this was for him to keep moving! His smile was unforgettable, his friends around him were so happy for him. We believe he felt loved and important in that moment. We are the hands and feet of Jesus and when there is a need presented to us, we are called to help, Jesus will take care of the details and he certainly did for us to help this young man. Continue to pray for him and his situation. "Helping others run their race" is what you continue to do when you support Team Ian Charities. Thank you so much!!! God Bless!

Team Ian Charities had the privilege to gift a week of camp for two youths - this time attending Christians for Camp Carmel camp in Dunbar, PA. The donation was given anonymously (to the youths and their families due to their special need situation) but known and very much appreciated by the Christians for Camp Carmel organization. We pray God will touch the lives of these two youths in a way only he can and this experience will bring them joy and hope this week and beyond. Thank you all for your continued support as we continue to help others run their race.

TEAM IAN CHARITIES presents Camp experiences to these three amazing individuals.  Congratulations Haleigh, Bailey and Alex!!! Enjoy your week of camp at Joni & Friends this summer!

TEAM IAN CHARITIES had a special delivery to some amazing students.  The Life Skills Class at Laurel Highlands Middle School received noise canceling headphones.  One student, Miss Kali (in pic with Paul, Emma and Mr. Rozgony, Principal) was also so excited to see the turtle on her shirt and her wristband.  "They all really like them!  It really helps them focus without having all the background noise in there since there are so many people in the room". -LHMS teacher Mr. Zungri.

In addition, TEAM IAN CHARITIES was able to gift an iPad and set of headphones to an awesome student, Mr. Jordan at Hutchinson Elementary.  His great-grandparents were there to share in the experience and he thought the gift was for his "mee-maw".  His smile says it all when it realized it was his.

These students were a JOY to be around.  They inspire us in many ways and confirm why we are on this giving mission.  And just like Ian always did, despite their daily struggles, they all had a smile on their face and an energy like no other.  If this doesn't make your heart smile I'm not sure what will this week.  Thank you LHMS and Hutchinson Elementary for this opportunity to add some quality and comfort to your students' day.

Folks....If what you are seeing is touching your heart please don't hesitate join this TEAM IAN CHARITIES family.  We have so much more work to do and we can't do it without you!  Click at the top of this page "DONATE" and join us as we help others run their race.

TEAM IAN CHARITIES focuses on providing services and resources that help quality and comfort in life within the special needs community.  On the left, Mr. W below is receiving the first TEAM IAN CHARITIES gift.  W is an autistic, hearing impaired young boy.  He needed a toy that would light up by his touch that would assist not only in focusing but also occupational therapy skills.  Looks like W might be interested in what he sees and feels.  On the right, the Eckert family sharing their experience and resources to a local school to assist a special needs child during the school day.
